We just found a baby falcon sitting on our fence the other day. He was so large... big eyes staring at us, down feathers peeking out from under his wing, flying in the breeze. He basically ignored us (I was only 2 ft from him) as he studied a moving lizard on the ground, then hopped down to get a closer look, then when tired flew up into the tree again. Just darling. I've love to read this book!
Thanks for dropping by, everyone. I was so tempted to grant the book to you, Gini, for your baby hawk sighting, but the luck of the draw fell upon Cyn. I do hope you enjoy my story, Cyn! PS He's not gay, Linda. :) Not that I have anything against gay heroes, but it doesn't work so well in a hererosexual romance. Hmm, the Gay Viking. Potential story fodder there ...

ReplyDeleteSounds like a fantastic story, and set in one of my favorite time periods, too!

ReplyDeleteI would love this one. It sounds superb. I have been reading up about falcons for my current WIP. They are fascinating.

I'd love a copy please! Even if the last line in the blurb made me think "please say he's not gay" :p
